March lunch speaker – Bernard Reybier MD of FERMOB

Our March business lunch was held at the Reine Astrid, with 38 members and guests eagerly anticipating our lunchtime speaker, Bernard Reybier, Managing Director of Fermob, one of the region’s best known businesses.

Bernard has built a richly deserved reputation as one of Lyon’s star innovators, building Fermob up from 10 employees to over 270 today, with double digit growth every year since 1989, when he took over the business!

Renown for innovation, design and international development, Bertrand shared the background, development and some lovely anecdotes around Fermob; the story of the bistro chair and the PR launch in Paris was particularly insightful; his ability to seize opportunities and build on the platform of French design was well illustrated!.

This event also included an opportunity for further PR for FIBA itself; a journalist from Le Progrès was with us and we look forward to sharing interviews and output on FIBA on our new web-site…coming soon!
