The Queen’s Birthday Cocktail

The Franco-British community gathered for a celebratory cocktail at Victoria Hall on 7th June to raise a glass of champagne in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. 70 years on the throne! The Queen is without doubt a totemic historical figure. Margaret Marret made a speech in honour of Her Majesty, which included reading out a letter received from Buckingham Palace sending the Queen’s best wishes to the Franco-British community in Lyon and expressing her hope that we would have an enjoyable party. We certainly did!
