FIBA Lyon mourns the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the Queen’s passing on 8th September.
HM Queen Elizabeth II was a truly remarkable monarch whose reign spanning four generations brought stability to an ever-changing world and whose devotion to her country and the commonwealth was an example of selflessness that can only be admired.
 
She has weathered political turmoil and storms of a more personal nature with grace and humility using her understanding of the crown’s constitutional role to unite the nation on the many occasions when others could not.
 
Our hearts go out to her immediate family at this time, and our support to HM Ambassador to France in the days ahead.
